If you can’t trust the people you’re hiring to be on board with what you’re doing, you’re hiring the wrong people, and you’ve set up a system that has failure built in.

When you’re surrounded by assholes, don’t look for bad people; look for bad systems that reward them for acting that way.

Secrecy Is Poison. Nothing should be secret. Everyone should know everything, and that includes salaries and financials. Obfuscation only serves people who serve themselves.
