Will There Ever Be Another You

He woke one morning with this written in a Notes file. “All of the layers are made of materiality. And the materiality of each layer is shared by everything that originates from that layer, but is separate from the materiality of every other layer. “But all of the layers drip and splash, so sometimes a drip or splash of materiality from one layer bumps against another. “These are the layers that we have so far: There is the Yellow Layer, which is the one that I am on. There is the Fish Layer, also known as the Blue Layer. There is the Spirit Layer, and there is the God Layer. The God Layer is occupied by a single entity called God, whose materiality stretches infinitely and fills its whole layer. The God Layer is the only layer that’s self-aware. If you ask it a question, it always replies: I am a system. Recently the God Layer has developed the ability to control some of its drips and splashes onto others. “The people and things that occupy the Yellow Layer are now experimenting with a new technology called Drip-Glider that has the ability to catch a drip and follow it into other layers but so far this is only theory.”
