Finally, the glow of downtown begins to peek through the thick of the trees and we’re near town. “Wow, everything is so beautiful. The lights, the trees, the snow,” Freya says in awe. I agree. “It really is.” Except I’m not looking at the scenery, I’m looking at her. Tonight it’s exceptionally hard to keep my eyes off of her, and harder not to take her into my arms and show her what I’ve been holding back for too fucking long.
