For Theo, this looked like being the Performer, using humor and relentless positivity as strategies to ward off his parents’, especially his mom’s, tension and depression. He just wanted her to feel better. As an adult, he thinks he’s responsible for making people feel happy and struggles to be “himself” because it’s like he’s always onstage.
