But there was nothing sweet about having your heart destroyed when the shattered pieces left behind were too broken to put together again.

So… yeah no there’s no way I’m going to let this book 2 love triangle to end where we break Wes’ heart a SECOND time after Sarah the btch just bailed on him. I’m going to leave the series here. I’m so sorry there’s just way too many plot holes, things moved way too fast with Noah. As a matter of fact, Noah to me? A shell of a person. Can’t see the appeal. He has no substance at all. And this last chapter here? No I’m not giving Noah a chance. After the sickeningly sweet shiznit you say to all of a sudden backtrack because… like what exactly? Because Isobel is a LaFleur?I thought you loved her, why are you angry? Rather you should be angry at your situation, angry that you’re so in love but so confused. You should need a moment with your confusion, ask for space to figure things out. Be heartbroken that you can’t be together. But why are you angry at her? No. This is a boy who clearly is immature, no wonder the grandfather has no faith or confidence in Noah. I wouldn’t either to be honest. Also.. Things were all sunshine and rainbows with Isobel’s transition into Weybridge. You’re telling me all she’s had to deal with was Veronica spreading a couple A4 printed papers of Isobel waiting tables? And look that’s bullying no matter how I look at it, and this is not at all to belittle the experiences real people have with people like this. But for it to be added in this story? To me, that brought absolutely nothing aside from all her besties finding out that she waits on tables lol. Why do we have to ruin a character, make her do some pretty deplorable actions and make it clear as day that she’s responsible just so that we can move the plot along? Has Isobel even shed one tear or is she a robot? A perfect doll, beauty with brains, so perfect, no flaws aside from the fact that she can’t dance, everyone loves her. Give me Veronica’s redemption arc or something, I think I’d actually love her. She’s not a villainess, just someone who has a goal, not afraid to get what she wants. As a matter of fact, I think for me the redeeming thing about this book are the side characters. I’m more invested in Wes’ story with Sarah, and I want Wes to have a nice girl that’s not Isobel. As a matter of fact maybe we can get Wes with a girl who truly doesn’t know what it means to live in his world. When I looked at the blurb for the other two I was disappointed to find out that there’s two other books dedicated just for Noah and Isobel? You’re telling me this low substance rivalry and family feud nonsense goes on for two more books? I get maybe one more book for this, but what about the third book..? Make it about Cress, Wes; or make it about Luther/Kaden… SOMEONE ELSE. Anyway sorry, this whole series is going to have to be a a DNF for me. I was never hooked at any point, start skim reading paragraphs and before you come at me - skim reading doesn’t mean I didn’t know what the heck was going on in the chapter. I just skipped the fluff that I felt gave no value whatsoever. I got so bored at how well things were going up until the very last chapter which was way too theatrical that it was almost comical, I was literally wishing I was anywhere else BUT this scene. Like I want to see what Sawyer, Anna, Cress and Wes are up to while all this dramatic nonsense was happening out on the balcony lol.
