While she worried about Menace, I never gave a fuck.
Who the fuck died and made him in charge of who I wanted to be with? Menace kidnapped his fucking wife and fell in love with her.
“It be like that, Bluey. If it’s meant for me to see you around, I will.”
“So, basically fuck me, my wife, and our baby?” I heard my brother’s voice behind me and saw him walking down toward us.
“Navy, I ain’t seen you in a minute.” Navy’s head shot up confused. “I’ve never been here.” Menace looked at her. “She said she gonna rob this fucking house, Wonder? We just letting anybody up in this bitch now, huh? Fuck security clearance and safety now, right?”
Get you a sweet girl like Navy.” She winked at Navy, who smiled.
I couldn’t front like we didn’t look good together. She fit perfectly right next to me, as if she was always meant to be there.
“Nah, don’t be shy now… what you be reading about?” “Fucking,” she blurted.
“You like to read spicy books, too?”
“Nah, I like to do the spicy shit that you be reading about in books.”
“Everyone calls you Don, though,” she replied, peeking through her fingers with a goofy smile on her face.
“I can tell you not about to be everyone.”
“You was teasing me about how I was fake flirting and here you are staring at me so intense… shit… is it hot in here?”
“Nothing fake about how I’m staring at you, Bleu. At least I’m honest and upfront about my shit.”
Vanilla laced with smoke, a sweet and dangerous combination that had
my senses going haywire. Baby had me fucked up, and she didn’t have to do much but sit close to me.
“Cry on my shoulder… burden me with your tears because I can tell it’s not something you do often. Allow me to hold you because you don’t want anyone else to hold you. Give me that.”
“Don’t think I wanna be your friend forever, Bleu…” I was honest with her.
It was beyond her looks. She was beautiful, smart, and had this aura that made you want to be around her. She could hold her own and wasn’t moved by shit that I could do for her.
“Moms in law is cool. Never really had a mom before.”
She poked her lip out. “Landon, you cannot say stuff like that to me after the moment we shared in the studio.”
“Mr. Caselli, you have a visitor that wants to come up. Shall I allow them up?” the front desk attendant asked.
“Can’t get my mind off you, Bleu.” He bent down and kissed me on the neck, and I released a soft moan.
“There’s not many who cross my mind, baby. You have multiple times.”
“Strangers have sex.” I looked into his eyes, allowing him to see that I wanted this as much as he wanted it.
“If we cross into this territory, I’m not gonna wanna remain a stranger.”
“No attachments, Bleu. Tell me what you want so I can give it to you.” He licked his lips, staring straight into my eyes.
“To be fucked, Don.”
“What I tell you about that, Bleu… what you supposed to call me?”
I was staring at him like I would pop out of a jar of relaxer if this nigga gave this dick to someone else.
She was a part of me now, and now I needed her Social Security number so I could add her to my health insurance. Needed them teeth strong, so when I slid her back onto this dick her teeth could take it.
“Where did you learn to fuck like that, Landon?” I chuckled. “Why?” “Cause I don’t think I want you doing that to somebody else.”
“The no attachment shit hard for me. I get attached quick, Bleu.”
“Had meatloaf for dinner.” He sounded like he had been personally victimized, and needed some emotional support, but didn’t know who to call.
“You said you hate your fucking brother and want him to die… shit fucked up.”
It was the way she snickered when I called her mine that told me she wanted to eventually be mine. It was a fear that stopped her from wanting to tell me that she would eventually want more. To her, it was easier to just be friends and see where things went, and I had to admit that was best for us right now.
They ain’t even know with the way I was wrapped around Navy, I was about to fuck around and give her my last name, make her a billionaire, and retire the whole fucking family.
“This stranger shit not gonna last, Bleu.”
She smiled. “Why is that?” Her voice was so soft, barely above a whisper, as we both intensely stared at one another. “I think you know why, baby.”
“I’m not a fucking dog, Bleu. I don’t need you to put out energy or give me attention. A simple text saying you needed space would have been straight. Communication is big with me.”
“What’s wrong with you, Pooh?” The way Pooh left his mouth and soothed my soul shouldn’t have been real. Should not have existed.
“You know why I brought you here, Pooh?” I was assuming my nickname had gone from Bleu to Pooh, because this was the second time he called me it, and I wasn’t mad about it. Hearing this hardened man call me Pooh did something for me.
“Opening up to people is hard for me. I don’t do that shit and avoid anything real because that means I have to be real. Transparent and true with the person I’m letting in. With you, I want to be all of that because your presence makes me want to. Navy, you introduced me to your family, so I felt it was only right to show you a piece of mine.”
I stared up at her at the same time she looked down at me and I saw it. That look.
This look felt different to me. I wasn’t ready to remove her from my life. I wanted her to stare at me like this. I wanted to know the thoughts behind this look.
“Don’t wanna be a stranger to you no fucking more,” my husky voice caressed her eardrums as she tried to kiss my lips, and I pulled back. “Is this pussy mine, Navy?”
“Pooh, I’m three blinks from crashing out. You telling me you with your ex-nigga… after I slid up inside of you. Fucking told you I didn’t want to be strangers. This how you playing shit, baby?”
