Suddenly, as if sensing my presence, Jenna looks at me. Our eyes lock over Ryan’s shoulder, and for a fraction of a second, she looks just as surprised as I am. Then she gives a little tilt of her head, as if to say “sorry” and looks away, dismissing me. In a second, my entire world shatters.
No, come on. Nobody would act like / do this after being caught cheating with their friend's spouse. 😆
At least set up the friend's character enough to make this not absolutely ridiculous.
