It feels almost poetic. He’ll die with a blow to the heart, just like he killed all his wives. Like he killed Alix. Like he’s killed me along with her.
“Let’s negotiate later, Peaches. If I’m not inside you in the next five seconds I’m going to fucking die.”
That doesn’t feel random, it feels like fate, and maybe I’ve never believed in fate before but I like the idea that Alix was always meant for me.
“You and me for the rest of our immortal lives. Think you can handle that?” She grins. “I can’t think of anything better.”
