By the time we hit downtown, the air’s cooler, but I’ve got a heat inside me. Bella sits beside me, legs crossed, hair pinned up in a way that makes it look like she didn’t try too hard. Which means she tried just enough to wreck me.
This is a weird transition from her walking out of Reggie's side of the house to Rowen's. I'm still not sure if that is what happened at the end of the last chapter or if this is another day.
The plane dips, and Bella grips the armrest between us. I almost reach out before I catch myself. She squeezes my hand but doesn’t make eye contact. I don’t let go, because I can’t.
As Rowan slows to a run for the door, Reggie catches up to us.
the same I don’t talk about mine either.
