“I don’t want to teach kids how to fight,” Ryan said, just to make it clear. Rozanov looked at him like he was stupid. “No. You are a defenseman. You will teach them how to stand still and not score goals. Defenseman things.” Ryan laughed. “Asshole.”
“You are gay, yes?” Ryan snorted, surprised by another subject change. “Yes.” “Good. That’s what I mean. The camps will be for that too. I mean we will teach, um...” “Tolerance?” Ilya smiled. “Yes. Try to change things, right?”
He could quit. He could just quit. His heart started racing at the realization of how possible this was. There was literally nothing stopping him. Sure, he would piss some people off, and probably get yelled at, but would anyone really care? His coach had been threatening to replace him for two months now. Let him do it. Let someone else live the NHL dream. Ryan was done.
“I have a very important question about your thighs.” “What’s that?” “What happens to them after you stop playing hockey?” Ryan paused a moment from stroking Fabian’s hair. “They’ll probably turn into regular thighs.” “That’s what I was afraid of.” “Quitting hockey doesn’t sound so great now, does it?” Ryan teased. “Hm. I suppose I’ll have to learn to live with only your towering height, your gorgeous face, and your enormous cock.”
What makes you happy, Ryan?” At the moment, Ryan couldn’t imagine needing more than the man he had in his arms, but he said, “I don’t know. But I can’t wait to find out.”
And, um, about what you just saw...” Ilya rolled his eyes and took the paper from Ryan. “He’s not going to tell anyone, Shane. Fucking relax.” He shot Ryan a questioning look that said you’re not going to tell anyone, are you? “No. I won’t tell anyone. That you’re, um...” “Making out at work? Yes. That would be bad,” Ilya said with an amused grin. Shane looked like he would never smile again. “I don’t know what I see in you,” Shane grumbled. “Yes. You say that every day.”
“I hope you’re happy,” Fabian scolded. Ryan grinned. “I really am.”
