How was it, exactly, that two people could scar each other like that and keep going? In fact, go deeper?

Language is what allows us to communicate. But it also limits what we can say, perhaps even how we feel. After all, how can we recognize a sentiment within ourselves that we have no word for?

The right to exist and to love and be proud and happy. The right to live.

“Because it feels good to love someone,” Donna said. “It feels better than anything on this Earth. And I bet better than anything up there.”

Look at all that God had given her. Look at what no one will ever be able to take away.
