He kisses my temple, pushing my hair behind my ear. “I love you so fucking much.” His words swirl around my heart, filling it until it feels like it’ll burst. After so long of feeling unlovable, this man has worked his way through my broken chest and put it back together, piece by piece. Tears pool at the corner of my eyes, and my voice wavers. “I love you too.”
He drops his head to mine. “Fuck. How are you so perfect?” I bite the corner of my lip. “There’s nothing perfect about me.” His eyes narrow. “I’m going to make sure you never think like that again.”
