I hate that she feels that way. I’m not sure how I’m going to do it, but I swear I’ll prove to her she can ask me anything. No…that she deserves everything.

It’s like she doesn’t believe she belongs by my side, and I will do everything in my power to prove just how wrong she is.

“You have no idea what you do to me when you beg like that.”

I’ve never wanted to belong to anyone, but if it’s him, I think I’d be okay with it. I think I’d feel safe.

Someone who fits perfectly, like a puzzle piece that solidifies our life forever.

He kisses my temple, pushing my hair behind my ear. “I love you so fucking much.” His words swirl around my heart, filling it until it feels like it’ll burst. After so long of feeling unlovable, this man has worked his way through my broken chest and put it back together, piece by piece. Tears pool at the corner of my eyes, and my voice wavers. “I love you too.”

He drops his head to mine. “Fuck. How are you so perfect?” I bite the corner of my lip. “There’s nothing perfect about me.” His eyes narrow. “I’m going to make sure you never think like that again.”
