For just a little while longer.” Sitting there at the back of the cage, he watches me in silence for a few seconds. My heart pounds as I wait for him to say something. To tell me that I’m an idiot. That I should have run when I had the chance. That I should try to steal the keys to their cages from Bane and Jessina and just get us all the hell out of here. But to my surprise, he doesn’t. Drawing in a long breath, he instead says, “What do you need?”
