This to me is what makes feminist transformation possible. Personal testimony, personal experience, is such fertile ground for the production of liberatory feminist theory because it usually forms the base of our theory making. While we work to resolve those issues that are most pressing in daily life (our need for literacy, an end to violence against women and children, women’s health and reproductive rights, and sexual freedom, to name a few), we engage in a critical process of theorizing that enables and empowers.
