Capri (Season Three: Delgato Family: Capri)

Goon didn’t even need to tell me Capri was in there. I knew my baby was here because I could smell her ass in the air. “Why the fuck are you sniffing the air?” Quasim questioned.

Did I go over there and slam homie’s head into the bar top, or did I play it cool? These were legit questions because I was about to grip my gun and put the shit to his head for even being near mine.

All that single shit went out the window when another nigga was smiling up in her face.

When I spoke to her, I could see my entire future within her eyes. I could see us walking along the beach with our kids running and playing ahead of us. I could feel myself holding her heart knowing that I could protect it, and it would never ache again.

“Yeah, I know his ass… he might end up with an injury this season, too.”

“My brothers are Capone and Cappadonna; you don’t think I know how to read between the lines? Leave that man alone, Meer.” “Then tell him to leave you alone.”

Once you refuse to believe something, just go on and accept that it was happening.

“Suga struggles with giving too much to the wrong people and never getting anything in return… we working on that, right, Sug?”

She was so used to going above and beyond for everybody and that shit stopped now. I don’t know how many conversations we had over this year where I told her that she needed to be selfish. Capri deserved to be selfish more than anyone I knew.

“She’s proud of you now… you don’t need to marry a nigga for her to be even more proud, Sug.”

When she held me tighter, that shit felt like she had my heart in a vice grip.

It was the main reason I’ve never made a move on her. As hard as it was to watch her leave, I knew it was needed because she could never be any good for me if she wasn’t healed. If she never took that time to become the woman I needed. We needed.

I didn’t want her with anyone else. Nobody else deserved the woman that she was today. I was the nigga that had been there, listened to her cry, felt her pain from thousands of miles away.

“I’m not Kincaid, Suga… I’m your Meer… the man you know would never hurt you.”

I suppose I had always been in trouble when it came to Capri Delgato. Ever since I tasted her back in college, she had always been bad for me.

“How? You literally watched me shuffle the cards in front of you. I think Peach is right… you just suck at Uno.”

“Stop side stepping the question and be real with me. I’m your Meer… we acting funny now that you back on US soil?”

“Your brothers stopped inviting him to family shit, too. Capone said that he needed to respect you, and having your ex-husband and his new bitch at family events didn’t sit right with him.”

“Stop being so fucking accommodating for a nigga that didn’t accommodate you. He was your husband and didn’t give a fuck about your feelings, Suga.

I don’t got no remorse for the nigga. You don’t have to see him unless you want to. Fuck soothing tension… it’s all tension when I see that nigga.”

I didn’t intend to fall for Kincaid, and I felt bad for using him. Then again, he was using me to get over his own hurt.”

“You told me that you don’t want children.” I wiped my face. “Do you know how it feels to lie and say you don’t want kids because your husband went and had one with your ex-best friend?” “Shit is wicked.”

“Be honest with me, Meer.” “Always honest with you, baby.”

“Don’t ever think I don’t want you. I waited a fucking year for you to return… I want you. Shit… I may even need you at this point. You hear me?” He pulled my chin up, placing a kiss on my chin.

“What? Is it a pimple?” “Nah… look like a little bit of hate right there on the side of your face.”

“They some haters… you look cute, Pri… the body is bodying,” she winked.

With his teeth biting down on his lip, he looked down at me. “I ain’t feeling those shorts, Sug… burn ‘em.”

Our eyes met and I smiled. “You both finally meeting each other. Now you can both stop getting on my nerves.”

“She’s my homie today… we shall see how the rest of the weekend goes.”

I looked up at Meer, and he was just staring down at the both of us. It was no mistake that there was love in his eyes.

“You trust me to be with her alone?” “Stop playing with me. Aside from my own family and the Gods, you crazy ass Delgatos are the only people I trust around my daughter.”

I always laugh to myself whenever Peach called Capri Suga. She always switched between Suga or calling her Capri. Once in a while she might call her Pri, but that wasn’t all that often.

I wasn’t a nigga that would ever admit to a woman making me blush, but that one. That one in the bed across the room could blush the briefs off my ass.

If you didn’t know her and Cappadonna well, you would have assumed she was this sweet little housewife. Her ass was just as twisted and wicked as her damn husband.

“You know, I have a feeling about you two… I think she’s gonna be your wife one day.” I looked down at her and pinched Promise’s cheeks. “Think? Come on, Alaia, I know she gonna be that.”

Capri deserved better. She deserved more than just sex from me, and that’s what I wanted to show her. She kissed her fair share of frogs and even married one, and I wanted her next kiss to mean something. I needed it to mean something.

Suga deserved someone to put her first for once. A man that was going to come behind her with pure love and devotion. We both had been hurt, our hearts broken, and together I felt like we could heal each other.

These men had the power to determine my happiness, and I had respect for each of them to put their word before my own happiness.

“Capp, she’s my best fucking friend. The person I always want to talk to and end the day talking to. No funny shit, my day don’t go well unless I hear her slurping coffee in my damn ear.

Big Pri not some baby… your sister holds her own and has held her own numerous times. Give her the space to hold her own when it comes to her personal life.”

“Whenever you’re ready for marriage… I want you to meet me in my office and ask me like the Godfather.”

“So, both you niggas know you just gave this lunatic permission to crash out behind Capri, right?”

She turned to Capri and whispered. “Ask nicely, he always folds.”

Being real, I would have been fucked up if I had to abandon all thoughts of being that man for Capri. Having to witness her be with someone else would have torn me apart. I didn’t want to see her with somebody else, I wanted to see her with me. By my side, being loved the way she deserved to be, taking this dick the way, I knew she wanted it. I wanted to change that name from Delgato to Inferno,

Niggas took a cold shower to relieve their stiffy, I jumped my ass on my computer and spent money. Nothing made my dick softer than seeing a bunch of money leaving my damn account.

Mason’s ass wanted to be out for the season, and I meant that shit. Now that I had her brother’s blessings, I wasn’t letting another man take any chance to slip in.

“Suga, don’t lie to me… promise me that one thing. I dislike liars, and you can’t come back from that.”

“What do you want?” “You, Sug… I want you.”

“I run a tight ship over here, Sug. Ain’t no bitch gonna be coming to you as a woman… I shut that shit down. I told you I ain’t had no pussy and I meant that shit… just me and this hand.” I placed it over her face, and she squealed. “Eww, Quameer!” she shrieked, while laughing at me.
