“That God that my mom thinks she serves—he’s so much smaller than who I think the real one is. The real one—to me, he’s everywhere, in everything. And sure, maybe he speaks through the Bible. But also maybe he speaks through Narnia, and Harry Potter despite J. K. Rowling lately, and the trees, and science, and the stars, and black holes and the ocean and the way the sky looks sometimes, and you can feel it in your chest.”

As a person who grew up going to church every single week ( multiple days a week) and that now gets PTSD one I see a church or "Christians" it gives me food for thought. I have seen so many injustice in the "church of God" Its always a competition of who is more Christian, who deserves to be chosen by the reverend or pastor. Always hearing gossip, tearing down other Christians for being a bit different. All of this is what you see in church and the reason a lot of people tend to get away from the church! The majority of Christians in church forgets how God is good and how everyone should not be judge since he will be the judge of us and if we genuinely do good and seek him for his love, we will get rewarded with eternal life.
