“Tell me you love me, Cross. Tell me you won’t ever leave me. Tell me you don’t regret us. Tell me we will always be.”
“Tell me you love me, so I won’t have to kill every muthafucka on this earth that looks in your direction. Tell me you love me so I can walk out of this house tonight knowing that you just saved the fuckin’ world from my wrath!”
“I love you, Mecca Strong.” Tears fell from my eyes, and I didn’t stop them. “I’ll love you forever, and that still wouldn’t be enough time.”
Loyalty ain't always loyalty; sometimes it's jealousy hiding behind fear.”
eyes. I knew what he wanted me to do without him having to ask. “Cover him, lord. He isn’t perfect, but he was made for me. He is my protector, lover, my other half. I pray to you now just like I do every time he steps away from me. Allow this man to come home to me tonight and every night after. In your name, I pray. Amen.”
“You yokin’ me up over a woman?” he asked. I wrapped my hand around his throat and got in his face. “No, I’m yokin’ you up over my woman. There’s a fuckin’ difference.”
“Mecca,” she whined as she grabbed my head with one hand and the bed with the other. She knew better than to push me away because I’d tie her ass up to the bed and not let her go until I was satisfied.
“That the love I expected wouldn’t compare to the love you’d show me,” I hissed, and he nodded. “That you played for keeps and would be the only man who had my heart until I gave you children.”
“Give me that shit and watch how much you grow. I’m your man; let me bear your burdens.
He hugged her, and I had to grip the steering wheel to avoid jumping out of the car. Her shoulder shook, the scream piercing the air made goosebumps form on my arms, and the hair on the back of my neck stood up.
“Is your life insurance policy up to date?” she asked as I followed her to the living room. “If not, we can give you a few minutes to get it right.”
Mecca, tell me what we can do for you.” “His friends call him Nine,” Mrs. DeCorte said. “I ain’t his fuckin’ friend.” Pastor DeCorte mugged his wife
“If she wants his death on her hands, that's her business. Who am I to stop their tragic love story?”
“Fuck around and find out why she always said the devil didn’t even want her.”
“Nope, and Auntie Remi told her one day a dog is going to take a chunk outta her ass because she does white people shit like try and touch one,” he said, shaking his head. “Deuce!” Remi and I yelled at the same time.
“Why does someone need to keep Judah?” I was confused, but that wasn’t abnormal when dealing with Krude. It was like he had conversations with the voices in his head, and you’re supposed to know what those voices said.
“It’s fine,” he said with a shrug. “I got money, I’m not broke.” “Remember that,” Exodus said with a laugh. “Because I’m with his ass. From here on out, anything that involves me possibly going to jail will cost you.”
Like legit have a conversation that we’ve been avoiding.” “I’m not ready to cry.” I closed my eyes and sighed. “I’m not ready to deal with that hurt yet.” “Then we aren’t ready to be best friends,” he said softly. “Until then, we gotta chill ‘cuz once I put my dick back in you, I’m not letting you go.”
pulled my dick from my shorts and pushed inside of her. “How does that Fifty-Cent song go?” I pulled back slightly only to push into her again. “Can I be your best friend if you promise you’ll be mine?”
“Now you see why you agreed to be my wife,” I taunted her as I pulled back slightly. Cross’ eyes rolled in the back of her head, and I smirked. “Fuck yeah, you do. That's why your pussy is holding on to my dick the way that it is. She knows she’s my wife. She ain't trying to let me go again.”
Her pussy was gripping my shit too fucking tight, and I wasn’t ready to nut yet. “Huh?” I kissed her neck. “Why don’t you care?” “‘Cuz I’m your wife!” she moaned, and it felt like something snapped in me, and a beast was let loose from its fucking cage. I sat up, pulled her left leg onto my shoulder, and stared down at her. “Say that shit again!” I demanded as I pounded into her. “Say that shit again!”
“Madea!” Krude yelled and dramatically fell into her arms. “They were gonna take out OG!” He fake sobbed, and I cocked my head to the side and stared at my cousin. He flipped on us quicker than I could blink. “One of the heathens said they were gonna shoot him, and the other said we had to stand on business.” He let out a small scream as if he was in agony, and we all threw our hands in the air. “I was stressed. I’m a pregnant man carrying your future heir, and they were thinking about taking out the head of our family. I can’t keep trying to be the peacemaker!”
“Tell me you love me, Cross,” I demanded, pushing harder into her. “Tell me you love me, and I swear I’ll never hurt you again. It isn’t in me, baby. I want forever with you. I want kids, a big house, long nights, and early mornings. I want to grow old together, die, and love each other in the afterlife.” I let her neck go and wrapped my hand around her wrist that held the gun. “Pull the trigger if you don’t feel the same way.”
Give me that pain, that fear, and let me rock that shit. I told you I was handling you differently now. I’m asking you to give it to me, or I’ma take it.”
“Cum for me, baby. Wet that shit up and then welcome my shit,” I pumped into her faster. “You giving me a baby, Cross.”
“You two hurt each other. You broke her, and now you’re mad at how she put herself back together.”
“So, you here because of your wife?” I laughed, and Focus grunted. “Little ole Mahogany Strong-Eaton got your scared to come home?” “Little ole Mahogany Strong-Eaton gave me a simple order, and I plan to follow through with it because her word is law.”
“He said he could dog walk me on the game, baby,” he protested, and it took everything in me not to laugh at how offended he pretended to be. “He talked cash shit too.”’ He glared at me. “You sure he hasn’t been around Krude yet because the way he was trying to handle me reminds me of him.”
“But please remember that he has a mama who likes to fight, so if you hurt my baby’s feelings, you and I will go for a few rounds.” “Legit?” he reared back and smirked. “You’d go rounds with me over our son’s hurt feelings?”
“Girl, get over it,” Krude said, waving me off. “He’s a DeCorte and a Strong; that man is destined to be a menace to society.”
“Give me the damn Nerf guns, Judah,” Corinthians said as she walked toward him. “I don’t even know how you got them in here!” “I got them for my birthday!” He whined and handed them to her. “And Krude told me to stay ready at all times so I wouldn’t have to get ready.” “Stop taking advice from Krude; he’s a man-child,” she said as she helped him off the bed.
“No,” Krude said, sucking his teeth. “You know that damn girl doesn’t tell a secret. Madea told me.” “You have been snitching your entire life, Genesis,” Madea sighed, and we all turned to look at her. “I’m not telling you shit else.”
She nurtured, carried, and birthed my legacy. You worried about her being a beast when, in reality, she’s a fuckin’ Goddess!”
“I swear he was dropped on his head a few times,” I said, shaking my head. “He was,” Gabriel laughed. “And his bestie is the one who did it.” “Madea dropped his ass?” I laughed as we headed out of the warehouse. “Yeah, that’s why her ass deals with him the way that she does,” he said, shaking his head. “It’s a guilt thing.”
“What the fuck!” Krude yelled. “Nine, get the fuck out of my account!” “Stop talkin’ shit to my kid then,” I laughed. “Muthafucka, how much Robucks did you buy with ten thousand dollars?” Krude yelled. “Millions, my boy,” I laughed as I left the living room.
“They packin’, so we can roll,” Krude said, patting me on the shoulder. I took my eyes off Deuce to look at him. “I slide them they shit when the teacher wasn’t looking.” “You did what?” I asked with a laugh as we started to walk out of the room. “Little ghetto ninja got his knife, and the silver tooth gang member got his tooly.”
“Talk that shit when we get home,” I said, then kissed her. “You better remember what the fuck I wanna hear, too, when I’m in that pussy.”
“Does it look like I give a fuck what the correct term is?” he grunted. “All I know is that nigga ma’am over there has a dick.”
