“I will find you, Flower. I will find you.”
I took in the weather, the bright blue sky, the shining sun. How could the day be so beautiful? How could the world go on like it was nothing when she had suffered so? How was the universe itself not in mourning? The sky should be grey, rain pouring, thundering cracking as if the Gods themselves were weeping over such a loss.
But why, when Silas was staring at Lena’s injured body back in Fort Laith…why, when I read him, did I feel love?
“It’s okay to not be okay, so long as you don’t let the negative thoughts rule you.”
My body…my soul…felt like it was tearing in half. Burning.
“Cruel siren,” he murmured, and I shuddered as his fingertips grazed my cheek. “You drive me insane.”
“Did he please you as I have?”
Lena smiled at me, and it was the most beautiful sight I'd ever seen.
“Calm the flames, baby,” he whispered.
She was ethereal as she moved, exuding a confident aura I never saw in her before…one I had hoped she'd come into one day. She moved like the wind, searing as she took down those who opposed her, those who threatened her kind. She was a beautiful whirlwind. A force to be reckoned with. She was everything I dreamed of and more. A spitfire, a siren.
Sometimes, your demons hold so much power over you that you have to unleash them every now and again. To keep them from taking over completely.
“Look at how beautiful you are,” he whispered, stroking my cheek lovingly. “You take us both so well.”
“I haven’t known happiness since you left my life, Lena. I haven’t known satisfaction since that last night you were in my bed.
“You taste even lovelier than I remember, Flower.”
“There is no sweeter sound than my name cried from your lips.”
“I’m happy you hate me, Flower,” I murmured in her ear. “And I’m fucking glad I ruined every man for you. Now you have a taste of what I’ve felt every day for the last five years.”
“You consume all of me, Lena. You are my waking thought and the final picture I see before I sleep. You are a siren that haunts my dreams. It's been that way since the moment I met you.” I sighed in defeat. “There’s not a damn second you aren’t on my mind.”
My peace of mind perished the moment I met you. You've branded my soul, marking it as yours, even after all this time.”
“I will love every version of you, my Soul-Tie,”
RAVAIANA'S DAUGHTER WILL SACRIFICE IT ALL SO HER SON MAY BE REBORN. HE SHALL DICTATE THE FATE OF THE WORLD.
“You will not give up,” he choked. “Silas,” I shook my head rapidly. “Please…” I cried. “You will not break.”
