Losing a star immediately for referencing this singer. So over it.

“He’s a monster,” I called to Toby. I wasn’t sure if I was still talking about the imaginary spider or if I was talking about Whip not letting me come.

A lot of telling in these books. Very sjmple writing

We both knew that had nothing to do with his riding skills.

So much telling. Obviously the reader knows what the characger is saying.

“I’m perfectly capable of taking care of myself.”

Says the girl trussed up at tbe start of the book...wheres the trauma from that?? This is exactly where I DNF this book.
