“She has that look. You know, where everyone thinks they know her.” Alara pulls his attention off me. “No, she doesn’t,” Rowan says. “There’s nothing ordinary about her.”

I’ll be a few minutes late. There’s a café a block away on the corner if you want to wait there. I’m downstairs at the bar.

The text bubbles switch colors- starts out grey for Rowan and blue for Kyleigh then switches after 3 texts. It’s a little confusing for anyone paying attention.

God, she’s ruining me, and I’m just letting her do it, but the last thing I want to do is walk away from this.

“Listen to you. You’re like a spoiled child. I mean, who buys a bar just because? You’re not even you anymore. You think you have something with Rowan? Well, news flash to you, sis, he doesn’t even know the real Kyleigh Nilsen. He didn’t even know your name.”

Not his effing business. Not even a little bit.
