“Good because you’re mine.” He draws back, and I’m not sure what the look on my face is. Surprise? Shock? Elation? “You know, until we’re bored with each other.” He shrugs, playing it off. “Totally.” I try to do the same. He lowers himself back down and kisses me again. I wish I could get those two words out of my head—you’re mine. But they keep ringing out again and again, taunting me to deny that this is starting to feel like something more.
