“I don’t give a fuck if the entire nation is standing outside that window watching us,” he growls. “They don’t exist. Nothing else exists right now except you and me. You’re my whole world now, muse, and I’m yours.”
“I’m still trying to come to terms with the fact that you didn’t tell me about your secret relationship and that you’ve been having the best sex of your life, and now you know your father killed his mom.”
I trail a finger over the silky length. “Why did you wear a tie? Even for you, this is rather formal.” He grins. “For this exact occasion.” Saint sticks a finger past my lips, letting me suck it before he opens my mouth, stuffing the tie inside. “Mmm. Good girl.”
“I’ll do whatever it takes to get an A, Professor.”
He tsks. “We don’t want anyone hearing you, do we, Professor? No one can know how hard your student makes you come behind closed doors.”
“Get used to flames, muse. There will be a lot where we’re headed.”
I tug my clothes back into place and attempt to fix my hair. “Yes, you should.” I clear my throat. “See you in class, Mr. de Haas.” He smirks. “Did I earn my A, Professor?”
“It’s Professor, Mr. de Haas.” “Excuse me, Professor.” I lean down to murmur in her ear. “Shall I be punished for my insolence?”
“No. Even when death comes for me, I’m crawling from my grave to find you in the afterlife.” She can’t help the smile that tugs at her lips. “I’ve always wanted a man who would crawl to me.”
“Until death,” I vow. “And then, until I find you again in the afterlife.”
