Stevie has been my son for 11 years, and I still find it amazing how our moods are connected. When Stevie is on top of the world, I’m on top of the world. When Stevie is down in the dumps, I’m right there with him. What makes this connection so fascinating is that nobody sits you down and tells you that this is how it works. As a parent, it just is. And you learn to question the connection less as life goes on.

True praise is from those who choose to praise. Ryan is one of the few who chooses to praise me. If only his praise were enough.
