She seemed, not happier, but like the day after the winter solstice. Yeah, it’s like, the longest night has passed and while it might only be a minute more of light in the day, that minute matters. That minute means the dark is lessening.

She gives me a long, condescending look that makes me feel like a cat being pet backward.
