“When you were born, a ray of sunshine shone on your face. Not fire red and blazing, but golden and warm. I named you in honor of the ray of light you brought into our lives. The hope of a future as bright as you. You are made of sunlight. Remember, even in the deep dark depths of night, the sun shines through reflecting on the moons to remind us how special she is. How bright she burns. You are beautiful, treasured, and seen, please never forget that.”

I can sense her sadness, even when her smile lies to everyone around us.
I hope she doesn’t feel the shift. I’m barely holding on anymore, but I will protect her from anything the world throws at us. Even if it's the consequences of my own actions.
I loved them because they reminded me of the fire that burned inside me, how it threatens to singe anyone near.
The winter consumes me, mutes me, silences any happiness we have left, and this has been one of the worst in my lifetime.
Now I feel naked. Exposed to the evil world’s unrelenting intentions and expectations for me.
“When you were born a piece of the morning light was born with you here in Capsian. Each and every one of your features resonated that sunlight.”
“The sun aided in your birth and there will come a day that you’ll look at your reflection and know who you are to your core. It takes years for some to truly find themselves. I believe once you do, you will be a force to be reckoned with.”
“Not everything I write about has to do with you, Cove Novak.”
Sweet and quiet as Fleur is, imagine our shock when we found out that most of the books she reads contain nothing but pure smut.

Actually, come to think about it I’m pretty sure she sees almost everyone as a little untrustworthy. It’s just her nature.
Bea was forever preparing for a battle no one else knew of. Her silent fury and mistrust radiated off her like a shadow, or a warning, fuck with me and be fucked with ten times harder.
“Of course, Lia,” he whispers. “Anything for my beautiful little alpha.”
He tasted sweet. Like a summer morning as he ventured deeper into our kiss.
“Don’t get scared now, Sol.”
my eyes drift back as I read the tattooed word with on his pointer finger, and on his middle finger, love. With love.
“See ya tomorrow, nerd.”
“Look at how beautiful you are in my hands,”
“Open your eyes and watch yourself,” he demands. "I want you to see how glorious you look when you cum in the palm of my hands, Solace.”
With love.
This child was sunlight, embodied in a tiny delicate fae body.
I’m searching for mist in the air, grasping onto droplets of hope that don’t exist.
“One button wouldn't ruin your outfit, Sol.”
“Solace,” he whispers before his lips travel further down. “Made of a piece of the sun.” He undoes another button, the flesh of his lips skimming my skin. “A ray of sunshine,” he
Her beautiful curves are shaped for my hands. Made for me and only me to hold onto.
Anything for you, Solace.
“I’m good, Cove.” A partial lie. “I’m really good.” A complete lie.
I had found the answer I came searching for, but it led to millions more waiting to be uncovered.
I’m a ticking time bomb, sitting here trying to figure out how to diffuse myself.
“Slow your roll little devil.”
I had slammed my fists against the floor, tears spilling from my eyes. Kneeling there I begged some merciful lord to put me out of misery. After hours of sobbing and wailing at the sky, I pulled myself together. Picking up the pieces of myself I had spilled across the ancient wooden floor.
They were white. Pure and lifeless. They did not glow with magic or spells; they were just opaque. Lacking color completely.
“My name is Bain.”
He’s asking me to jump, but I’ll be the one to say how high.
I am a shell of the female I had been when I arrived here just four short days ago. Who would I be when I returned home?
Guilt replaced all the thoughts in my head and the feelings in my body, except for that longing, sticking to me, lingering deep in my bones.
As if I bore the ability to radiate light.
That must be some good smut she’s reading.
“Pup?” Bea repeats. “I’m gonna have to use that one. Cove definitely gives off puppy dog vibes.”
She lit up the darkest parts of me that I wanted to hide and made me feel like they were okay.
I want to engrain myself under her skin the way she has ingrained herself in mine.
I hope he liked the image, of her in my hands, where she belongs.
Tonight he will love me before he hates me.
He takes my hand in his and kisses my palm, my wrist, and then my forearm.
But he knows better than to start a fight over Fleur and her smut books.
I could see by the first moon's light that his arms were scarred badly, red tattoos covering them. If not for the poor lighting I wouldn’t have noticed the texture of his skin marred beneath them. His jaw was strong and his eyes lacked all color. I sat back on top of my feet as I looked up at him and tears continued to roll down my face. “Who are you?” I asked the question but I had a feeling I knew this male. “My name is Bain Caelestis.”
“No one can take your identity from you, your eyes are a small window to the soul that resides in your core, but that does not mean everyone chooses to look through that window.”
“You pulled me from the midnight of my life. When you appeared, dawn peaked, telling me that daylight had finally come.”
