We were crossing a line painted by the stars, but forbidden fruit always did taste the sweetest.
He was the type of man who made all others appear as little more than boys, a man built for the ruin of virtue and destruction of morality in all the best ways. No doubt it was a pity I’d sworn off black hearted bastards because he looked like a ruin worth damning myself for.
Magic sparked between our palms as our bargain was struck, the stars binding us to our deal as certainly as any curse might. And as I looked into the smiling eyes of the monster who I had just gifted my death, I smiled right back. Because I was done with the pain of this cursed life anyway and I was more than willing to marry myself to nothing but bloodshed, carnage, ruin and rot from this breath until my very last.
