I’ve come to realize—begrudgingly enough—that as much as Aiden is mine, he’s having trouble recognizing that. He doesn’t feel this bone-deep certainty that I do about how intertwined our souls are. It’s irritating to admit that having him fully come to terms and embrace his reality might take time.
