Yeah, 2 out of 5. I didn't care for the speculative fiction elements and the MC was hard to relate to. This makes me wonder how much I simply didn't get.
The idea of a kangaroo henchman (hope I'm not ruining anything there) was funny. Seeing that it might tie back to Chandler gives it a little more meaning.
