my alpha roared for me to go get her. Feed her. Love her.
“I know you don’t need a knight to rescue you, but just let me pretend. It will make me feel a lot better to know you got home safely.” That sounded good, right? Because what I actually wanted to say was, how about I follow you around at all times and implant a tracker under your skin just in case we ever get separated? I was killing this whole taking things slow thing. Olive let out a little huff and it was the cutest fucking sound. “Fine.” Her tone didn’t give anything away, but I spotted the little smile on her lips and the pink of her cheeks. I bowed with an exaggerated flourish.

I loved knowing that I was doing that, I was the one making them lose control.
“You’re being such a good girl,”
But there was also a part of me, a version of myself I thought had disappeared, who smiled. This part of me, the Finn from before, was already consumed with thoughts of Olive and what our life together could be. Taking her to jobs with me. Getting her opinion on how to approach a restoration. Spoiling her in the small everyday things—a new jacket, fancy coffee drinks, her favorite breakfast pastry. That part of me sighed with fucking hearts in his eyes, wondering if we should leave her love notes around the lighthouse. Absurd. Ridiculous. Foolish. That Finn was a fucking idiot.
And came to a sudden stop. Where the old, rusted bike usually sat, there was a gorgeous, brand new dark red bicycle. It was beautiful and shiny and had the cutest basket attached to the front. A basket Felix was currently sitting in.
Excitement shot through me at her teasing, the reappearance of her sass. I craved it, needed it. I leaned in close, brushing my lips against the shell of her ear. “Just remember, I’ll have all evening to deal with my naughty girl.”
“Yeah, well, I’m greedy with you. I want all your time—every single second of it.” She ran her fingers through my hair. “My stalker.” “Yours, baby.”
But her fingers twisted in my hair, keeping me in place. As if I would pull away.
“Come here, sweetheart,”
“You having a hard time, sweetheart?”
“You’re doing so well, kitten. That’s it, just lower yourself down.”
“Good girl.”
“Such a good fucking girl.” She wrapped her arms around
“You giving me aftercare, kitten?” “Yes,”
“I wish you didn’t have to experience this pain, but I don’t wish you were different. You’re my Olive, my kitten.”
“I do like the whole necklace tracker situation. I should definitely get you one of those,” Easton said. “You should not,” I grumbled. “I think I should. That way, I can chase you down whenever I want.” His voice was low and sent a shiver through me as I imagined being hunted by my alphas.
“Thank you, alpha,” she finally responded. I smiled, pressing a firm kiss to her lips. “Good girl.”
“Good girl.”
“Yes, yes, you are. You’re doing so well for me. Taking your punishment like such a fucking good girl.”
another part of me just wanted to do whatever I could to be Lars’s good girl.
He didn’t move his hand, and I slowly relaxed into his touch, letting my belly go. “Good girl,” he murmured. “Such a fucking good girl for us.”
back. “I waited for you for six years. I would wait a hundred years for you, search every corner of the earth. You’re mine, sweetheart. My soulmate, my everything, my Olive.” And then his teeth sank into my neck, completing the bond. Love and relief washed away my insecurities about bonding. How could I ever have been scared of this? We were all meant to be together.
“Forever?” “Forever,” I responded. “Good, because you’re mine, and I’ll be yours for as long as the universe gives us. Because even if I lose you—” His voice hitched and he took a slow, deep breath. “Because even if I lose you, it will have been worth it. Our love is worth it. You are worth it.” He caressed my arm until his hand wrapped around mine. His lips brushed my palm and bit down.
