‘It was here long before we got here, and it’ll be here long after we leave. Which means what we do in this lifetime, well, it’s not that important after all.’
‘Perhaps it means we have a lot less control over life than we think. We’re only here for a short time, so what really matters is being happy?’ Johnny suggested, his voice quiet. ‘Whatever happy means. But I think perhaps we can have some control over that.’
