Capri hopped out with her gun at her side, tucking it into her pink hoodie. I underestimated my little sister a lot, but in this moment, I wasn’t seeing Baby Doll, I was seeing my sister that would ride for her family.
They ain’t never met that Capp that could give a fucking snowman chills, they got him though.
Let us go and make this easier on you because when my baby comes, he’s not letting shit go. His hands don’t discriminate… wrong twin.”
He had grown his hair out and hadn’t gotten it braided, and his beady beard looked like it needed oil and prayers, because it was struggling.
Naheim stood up. “Capri, you good for this? You can stay home; nobody will think less of you if you decide to stay.” “She got it… stop underestimating her,” Quameer said, as he left out the door.
Erin hugged Capri tightly. “Fuck shit up, Pri.” Pri laughed holding her fist out, and Erin dapped it. “Won’t be the same without you but keep cooking that baby.”
Quameer started his motorcycle. “Capp, like I told you before I got her… we gonna handle business. If you look over and see her alone, know I ain’t too far behind her.”
Cappadonna was a different demon than I was, and that nigga wore the title king of the darkness with pride.
“For that one, I would do anybody in. You fucking broke her, Nah. You took that little piece of innocence that she had, and that shit was hard to witness. Her and Erin are close, you don’t think I walked into a room and saw her sobbing to my wife?”
If Naheim loved her, then he would let her go. Capri loved him so much that she would continue accepting pieces of him because she was too scared to have all of him again.
Capri needed a nigga that was all smoke and gas behind her, and Naheim played in her fucking face.
One thing you gotta know about me, your devil-in-law, is that I play for keeps and no nigga can ever say they won when it came to me… feel me?”
I’m married to Big Fucking Capp… I knew you were coming with Capone right behind you.”
knowing that I married a woman that was just as touched as I was.
“I told his ass Mrs. Delgato don’t play about me… ain’t that right?” She kissed my lips slowly. “I don’t… I get crazy over you.”
I always knew that I wanted to marry Aimee. She wasn’t the brightest crayon in the box when it came to common sense. She was my little blonde, but when it came to those books and computers, my girl was a genius and knew her shit.
“Nigga, you ain’t no fucking family. Keep talking to her and I’mma have you wash that salty ass chicken down with some bullets.” Capella spit at his feet and then swaggered around the car, getting in.
“Did you really fix my grandma’s wig?” “Hell yeah. That shit was driving me crazy the whole service. Got the nerve to be shady and don’t even know how to fix her damn wig,”
“We both know why. But if you need another explanation. You a sweet person, Capri. I also know that you’re bad for me, but that doesn’t stop me from craving you… you’ve always been bad for me, cappin’ ass,” he smirked.
I had to think of him for once, and that meant letting him go. Our entire relationship Kincaid had been thinking about me, always worried about my feelings, and it was something I loved about him.
For Promise Delgato, I’ll become fucking Dr. Suess if I had to. I’d do anything for that little girl and her mother.
“I’m sorry, Mama… Yo’ mama is so evil, look at her, paying like she didn’t just torture you. Sliding that American Express like its nothing… meanwhile we are fucking distraught.”
“That’s nasty as fuck, Capri… you pregnant or something?” “Nope... I never have the babies… the niggas I fuck with do.” I couldn’t help but to laugh at my situation.
“I ain’t having no damn kids… nope, not in my cards.” “Your deck just didn’t get shuffled with mine yet… you missing the king in your deck, and I’m missing the queen. Timing plays a key in all of this.”
My life felt like I was the stick and just kept getting passed around to men whose hearts I truly didn’t have.
“Never doubted it for a second, Kincaid. I also know you never loved me like you did Jasmine, and I never loved you like I did Naheim. We found each other when we needed someone to fill that void, and it worked for a while, but it wasn’t supposed to work forever.”
“Shit seems unsure right now and it always do after ending shit with your person. What’s to come is so sure, that you won’t doubt it. You won’t even remember this moment in the future… alright?”
Capri is a big dog, she know how to handle herself, and she knows how to code switch. The girl went to college and law school, she has rubbed shoulders with more than a few of the muthafuckas that are in office. You know her as Baby Doll, but your sister has lived both lives.
“Nigga, she’s involved. Capri been busting shots and doing drive-bys like she wasn’t sworn in as a lawyer.
we gotta understand that Capri a big dog too… she handles her shit like us.”
I always felt guilty about keeping the fact that Naheim cheated with Tasha from her. Back then, I thought I was protecting her and now I realized that I had let her down. I wasn’t protecting her; I was protecting Naheim. This was my little sister, heart, and Baby Doll. She needed me to stand beside her, and I failed her.
The shit scared me when Promise got older and had friends. My baby girl never did wrong, so I knew I was gonna lead her wrong. If those hoes had her fucked up, then they had her fucked up, and yeah, I was thinking about Kindergarteners.
“Yeah, this sound more romantic. I already got one gun toting son; I don’t need any more kids running around here in the streets. Far as they know, Pops spent the last fifteen years in college.”
I got me a little something on the side. Me: Yeah… now I gotta tell Promise her mama went to get bacon and never came back. My world: LEROY!
“You can never lose when you choose yourself. We’re both proud of you.”
“I don’t know how I feel about Kendra’s spirit floating around this damn beach,” Capp muttered, and I balled his damn lips up. “You gonna keep doing that shit until I bite your fingers.”
Any person that has ever hurt me has witnessed and died by the wrath of Cappadonna Delgato.
“I bought a cheap little flight so I can see you walk through the gate. One year without my homie is gonna suck.”
“You’re the one that told me to travel.” “Didn’t think you would do it… or that it would hurt to see you go.” He shrugged and looked at me.
“Take this time and fall in love with Capri. Get to know you, and when you come back, be ready and open to whatever is going to happen.”
He laughed. “Ain’t shit out there I wanna slide into… you the one that need to keep that shit on lock. Don’t let no passport bro’ trick you out yo’ panties, Suga.”
“I’ll be here when you get back… bestie,” he teased.
“It’s only for you.” He winked. I swiped my tears, returning the gesture. “Later, Meer.” “Until you return, Suga.”
