Lucky I ain’t crash out and shoot them motherfuckas.” Pepper let out an exasperated sigh. “Julius there is literally a video of you removing your chains and pulling your gun out.”

“I ain’t fuckin’ fire it though. And I could’ve lit that bitch up. But I didn’t. See… that’s growth shit.”

Frightening. Completely and utterly scaring the hell out of her. Any man with this much balls out of the gate and unashamed about it, wasn’t a man that was to be fucked with. Julius was literally one of those unhinged book baes she’d filled her free time with consuming. A damn unicorn.
“He’s a bull. He’s locked in with you and once he’s locked in like that. That nigga ain’t coming up for air. I’ve only seen him like that twice but this time he’s further gone. He ain’t never threatened my life behind no female. You might as well settle in and get comfortable.”
“And you can’t run off when that bull starts bulling, you got to step in, sink your heels in or the soles on your little designer sneakers and talk to that nigga. That’s the nigga only we get to see. The more he’s gone off you, the more that bull is gonna pop out. So prepare yourself to stay if you staying. If not, don’t hype us up to let us down.”
“Fuck Jay, you were supposed to get that nigga to act the fuck up so he could be out the gotdamn way. I’m not posting his bail or none of that shit.” “This is it? Convincing Treason to sell his catalogue to Rodney is the end?” B. Janae asked. “You don’t need me anymore?” “Nah. At this point if Lucci sees Rodney, it’s over for him. I got the royalties and Lucci is finally out of the way.”
Charlie sat toward the front of the cabin and observed a part of Julius he’d never seen. Love. Pure, intentional love. Something Julius’ troubled soul had been in search of for years. Despite the situation, he had it in his arms and he’d sacrifice his life to keep what he found at perfect peace.
“It’s not that you don’t want her with me. It’s that you don’t want her with who you used to be. From Ganton Hills, heavy ties to the Monarchs. So when a daughter of a Kingsman needs a favor, you answer. Got to have enough clients to not go belly up so you can keep cleaning the dirty money. We’re not different. The difference is, I’m honest with my shit.
“Girl,” Daysha scoffed. “Listen, my titties hurt, I got cramps, I got an attitude and you’re not helping. If ever you feel it in your spirit to call me and try to sway me from my man, it’s never going to end on a good note. I love you, I’m hanging up before I say something I can’t take back.”
The cause for her irrational behavior; the hard cramps, achy breasts, and hormones coursing through her body without a road map. She’d gotten her cycle a few weeks before summer fest and she was astonished that mother nature was making her return late and with a vengeance over her mind and body. “You raggedy bitch, now I have to apologize and cook and undo one day of crazy for the next month.”
“They killed Kizzie,” Julius spoke just above a whisper, looking down at his blood-stained hands. He was trying to hold himself together. It’d been easier when the chaos was ensuing but now…now with Daysha’s large, hazel eyes peering up at him with true concern, he couldn’t. “They fuckin’ killed Kizzie.”
Julius smirked, seeing some light in his story. “May 26th at 12:12 am.” “What’s the significance?” “That’s the day I saw my lady for the first time. She put light into my world. Light I couldn’t seem to find by myself. I know that I have to find that shit for myself, though. I can’t rely solely on her to light up my world. That’s too much pressure for anyone.”
Julius checked his phone for a possible text about a balance owed for Rodney’s head. He found none. Instead he found a smirk over Daysha’s face. He frowned slightly. Her response was a glint in her eyes. He was positive that between her and her father’s connections, they’d called in a favor.
