“Tweetie please,” Richard groaned at the thought. “Ain’t no nigga folding my baby into a damn pretzel.”
He nodded. “Yeah. And being that you shied away from me earlier, I can finally get your name.”
“Julius,” he corrected. “Or Jules. You, Ms. Day, call me one of those. That Lucci nigga don’t exist here.”
“Could you stay, just for a minute?” “I’ll stay as long as you need.”
“Why would you cut your eye patches?” “You weren’t around to put them on. So unless you want the snail pussy shit done right this is what you get.”
“I’ll be on set.” “What if I need oil or that snail pussy shit?”
Julius reached down to button two buttons on her shirt and kissed her cheek.
“Again. You aren’t letting him touch you again. I know dick imprint when I see it. Ohh, soft love from a roughneck nigga is literally the best.”
“All you got to do is stop trying to fight it. Or let than man break you down like a pound and fold you up.”
“Can I make a home out of you?”
“Thugs need love too,” Daysha stated with a smirk. “One in particular.”
Julius nodded. “Yeah, adding beauty to everything you land on. Got me trying to be your garden and shit.”
There’s some shit happening here that transcends the physical. I don’t even know what it is or why I deserve it. But this don’t stop here. And when I walk off that stage in a couple days, you’ll be walking with me. Shit is simple to me. I came here for something. I ain’t leaving without it.”
“You don’t deserve no nigga fighting demons to stay clean,” he whimpered. “You don’t get to tell me what I deserve or when I need to run,” she softly spoke, lifting his face. She swiped his tears. “That’s not going to make me run away. I’m here for however long I need to be.”
Tomorrow, you kill that show and when you get home, you do what you were put here to do.” “When we go home.” Julius’ correction was intentional. “Boy, cut it out.” “I’m serious. It ain’t gon’ be home without you.”
“Today is the day you show everyone, every doubter, every hater, every nigga at Treason who the fuck you are.”
Seeing you with someone else. The idea of someone having what makes me feel like a superhuman…it hurts my chest.
You kiss the petals of my crazy and you find it beautiful.
“You heard me. I love you. I do. You’re what my nervous system needed. What my mind needed. I love you. And I’m going to show you every day that I do. You won’t settle here, you hear me?”
“You live in your head until you’re comfortable to share your thoughts. You have a fountain of love that no one’s tapped into. You move with intention. And,” he squeezed just enough to cause her eyes to lower with desire. “You just what a nigga needed.”
“Daysha is my butterfly. She floats around the chaos that is sometimes my world and spreads beauty. She’s a reminder that starting over isn’t terrible, being a better man doesn’t make me soft, and that there is beauty in everything, even pain.”
“Mr. Jorden, I’m going to keep it a buck with you, I’m not giving you your daughter back. I am crazy about your daughter. I can’t make it stop either. I love that girl.”
Locked in the studio today with Don. Made appointments for you at Midtown Spa. Go shopping. Relax. No work. No espresso. Love you. Jules
“Until the life leaves my body, I’m with you. And even then, you got my soul anchored to you. Locked in, Butterfly.”
“Yes. I want to keep you in love with me. Forever, if I get that long. But because I love you deeper than I’ve loved anyone else, your wellbeing is my priority.”
“Teach me how to pray. I feel like if I’m going to be a father, I should know to pray.”
‘the dream prevails’.

“May 26th at 12:12 am.” “What’s the significance?” “That’s the day I saw my lady for the first time. She put light into my world.
You said I gave you power, but you covered me in your peace. Even when I was out of my head. You’ve been the best thing I’ve ever had, Butterfly.”
“Nah, Butterfly. You gave me summer all year round.” “I’d do it a million times more.”
