Freedom and creativity are essential to reality.

The future is open-ended and we have a role in shaping the future, for good or ill.

God inspires us to open to new possibilities for ourselves and the world.

Process theology believes that God is still speaking in a variety of ways.

Alfred North Whitehead believed that Christianity needed to reclaim its Galilean origins to address the needs of the modern world. Too often in its history the church confused Christ and Caesar. Jesus became a tool of violence and oppression: the cross became a symbol of conquest, exclusion, and judgment, rather than companionship and healing.

Jesus learned new things and was touched by human pain. In the maelstrom of human joy and sorrow, and his emotional, spiritual, and intellectual life, Jesus maintained a sense of unity with God.
