I really did like him. He was weirdly sweet, in a stalkery way, and he made me feel safe. I knew I kept coming back to that, but when you’ve had your life ripped out from under you, ordinary things didn’t feel safe anymore. Liam made it feel like I could finally breathe again without a constant worry at the base of my neck.
