The people who don’t get you are not your problem. Sitting around and thinking of all the people who don’t love you or don’t want to hang out with you diminishes your own light. Focus on where the light and love come from and park yourself in front of that.

The expansion of your belief system, values, opinions, exposure to different people and places are the seeds to us growing up and out. Having a narrow-minded view of things and going through life without your opinions being challenged will only help you remain the same. Some people aren’t interested in expanding their thoughts, experiences, outlooks. But if you are looking for moments of unadulterated bliss, the quickest way to get there is to get out of your own way. Your own ego, your own mindset, and your rigidity can lead to harsh judgment of others and a strong dose of bitterness when observing people who are seeking enlightenment, spirituality, and growth.
