All I have to do is text Clay and Jade and tell them that this is crossing a professional boundary, and I think it’s best we go our separate ways. Then I can just drive to Salacious, find a willing partner, and go back to the way things were before. Everyone loves me there. I don’t need to seek out attention or validation from these two people. I don’t need anything from them.
