Hero reached next to the couch, pulling out a bat and holding it out for her. She grabbed it, pulling a little too hard. When Hero let go, the bat did, too, smacking him in the face. “Oh my god,” Harper said. “I’m sorry!” Hero groaned, grabbing his chin as Aiden and I laughed. “Him!” Hero yelled. “You hit him. I’m not the fucking pervert.” “I didn’t mean to,” she said, looking at me.

His eyes went clear for a second. “You can hate me, Rebel. Hate me for using you, for fucking you, for taking from you.” “Why? What have you done?”

“I’m trying to ruin your life, and I’m going to succeed. Now punish me for it. Scar me for life, for going against you. Ruin me. Make me regret it. Make me stop.”

To be a big biker when he gets drunk he talks too much

“You’re drunk, Rook. We can’t do that.” “Yes, we can,” he growled. “Use me. You have full permission to use me for your pleasure. I barely deserve to be used like that. I don’t even deserve to get off. Please, fuck me, hurt me.”

“You’re going to give up the control, just like that?” “To you? Yes. Only you. I would bow at your fucking feet, Regan. You always have the control.”

“Stop you? No, baby, you’re a goddamn queen against me. I can’t, and won’t, stop you.” He grinned, bringing me closer until my lips were almost at his. “But I would stop him.

“You are a fucking queen. And just like a queen, you don’t have to fight battles on your own. You have a damn army behind you. Maybe not a big one, but I promise, we are enough to fix any issues you have with anyone.”

“He protects the queen. He can’t take her down, he can’t win against her, he only protects her. If you want to be queen of it all, I will cut down anyone in your way. I won’t stop you or lock you up, and yes, I would happily kill anyone who bothers you.”

“No one will ever hurt you if I am with you.” He bit at my ear before kissing down my neck. “I will kill them. It doesn’t even take a second to think it over. That’s why people die when you’re with me,” he said with a grin, “because I won’t be giving them any chance to hurt you.” “Why?” “Because you are mine, and I will protect what is mine until I die.” “That’s gross and almost sweet.” “I’m a monster, Regan, but I can be your monster. And in these four walls, with you, I only want to be sweet. I only want you to feel safe because I wouldn’t let anything happen to you.”

“What a surprise,” Aiden added with an eye roll. “Psycho girl wants to do psycho things.” “Are you really one to talk when you are already doing those psycho things?” Evie asked.

“A demon girl?” he asked. “Might be the only kind that would ever love me, so I might as well get it tattooed on me for good luck. Does one of those just rise from the ground or do I have to do some ancient ritual shit?”

I was already falling in love with Regan Fletcher, and true to the Fletcher name, she was bound to ruin my life.

“I guess that’s true. No one’s bothering me when my robber is with me already.” He grinned, looking back down the street. “I still want to make it clear that I never robbed you, or tried.”

“If looking at this art makes you feel an ounce of what I feel when I look at you, then we can both understand why I wouldn’t be bored. I could never be bored

with you, Regan. I don’t have to like anything else in the room. If you are there, I have my own personal form of art to look at.”

“I’m addicted to every part of you, Rebel. You are mine, and I will be spending every day reminding you of that.”

She’s mine, and he just threatened to take her away.”

“Aiden was right.” Rook’s eyebrows jumped up. “About?” “That is surprisingly easy to do when they are threatening something you care about.”

Well, now she was mine, and my woman would never be put on a leash. She could rage at the entire world, and I would happily be there to stop anyone who tried to intervene.

“You never loved me. Never really cared about me, either. Not even close. I was a pawn in your game, and you can’t suddenly change that fact. That’s not what you do to people you love. Now get out.”

Now Regan hated me, but she didn’t understand the truth. Her dad was the actual monster, and mad at me or not, people would still be hunting her down, so leaving her alone here was out of the question.

But I loved her, and I would do anything to keep her safe now. Anything.

“Count me in, too,” Hero added, scowling as Harper grabbed onto his arm, steading herself as she adjusted her heels. “Are you done?” he snapped. She stumbled, the heel of her shoe landing on the toes of his. “What the fuck?” he groaned. “Can you watch what you’re doing?” Harper’s eyebrows furrowed as she glared at him. “You’ll be fine. I barely stomped down. I can do it again to show you the difference.” “Do it and I’ll cut off your toes.” “Oh, did you finally get over your eyeball fetish and move onto feet?” Harper snapped. “Yes, exactly, so let me cut off your toes,” he grinned. She smacked his arm, moving to stand between Zack and Mason.

I think hero and Harper and Aiden and evie will have a book.
