The quintessential Romeo and Juliet story. But with more hockey and hopefully with less death and mayhem.
Leah
So, not like it at all

“I don’t come close to being good enough for Amelia. But if she were mine? I would never let her go. I would spend every waking day and every single breath just hoping I could show her the love she deserves.”
Leah
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 you don't even know her bro. What a weird thing to say!

I don’t realize the elevator is stopped and the doors are open until I hear clapping.

“I’m sure there will be more to process about the whole situation, but I don’t have feelings for him.” Van’s eyes spark at my emphasis on the word him. “But I do have a lot of feelings,” I whisper,

Wut?

I’ve never been like this with anyone—embracing passion and playfulness like two sides of the same coin. It only works because the currency is trust.
Leah
LMAO. Whatever sis

“Some of the guys have families who are at every game,” Parker says, practically dragging me toward the door. “Locals or family who’s committed to travel. Others, like Logan, don’t have any family support at all.”
Leah
There is absolutely positively no way that the daughter of a professional hockey team doesn’t know this. Why do people continually have to explain hockey to a coaches daughter? she would know what a billet family is. She doesn’t need this explained to her. It’s becoming more and more obvious that the author has absolutely no clue how the sports industry works.

“Don’t you talk about her! Don’t say her name! Don’t you even think about her!”
Leah
LMAO. What a sensitive sally

“Amelia is not some hook-up! She’s everything. She’s my wife.”
Leah
Find a very, very difficult to believe that there is no way that the lawyers didn’t already know about this. The author clearly has no idea how this stuff works. Especially like getting married they should’ve signed a certificate. They didn’t do that. What’s the timeline anyways? This is just suspension of disbelief is just no longer a thing.

But she doesn’t get to finish. Because my sisters rush us both, Callie and Lex clearly torn between yelling at Amelia and yelling at me, and Grey like she’s trying to hug her—just as Dominik’s laughter rings out and Coach’s fist flies toward my face.
Leah
Aw HELL NO! Yeah, the author doesn’t know at all how any of this works. This coach would’ve lost his job or even flinching at him. I mean, that’s why Torts lost his job he got into a fight with Cam York.

“You made a foolish decision while you were hyped up in an emotional state. Or maybe it was about revenge—getting back at Drew and Becky.”
Leah
Yes. Exactly. She’s not dealing with her grief.

I can’t tell if they’re trying to present a united front or just blocking me from entering my own house. “Who gave you a key?” I ask. “Parker told us where you keep it,” Grey says cheerfully. “I like her, by the way.”
Leah
What hell is going on here? This isn’t something to be dismissed like this!

“There’s a lot you don’t know about me,” Van says. A challenge. “And clearly, a lot I don’t know about you.”

Well yeah, it’s only been what? Two weeks at most?

“I don’t have any Appies stuff to wear.” “I thought you worked for them,” Lex says with a frown. “I just started this week.”
Leah
What kind of job doesn’t give you uniforms? How can you not have any stuff related to the team that you’re working for? That’s not how this works that’s not how any of this works. I’m pretty sure this book was written by an AI algorithm at this point cause there’s just so many inconsistencies and inaccuracies. The only other option is that the author is a lazy dumb ass.

“I’m sure they’ll show up soon,” Alec says through clenched teeth as we push into the locker room.
Leah
This is not a thing that happens.
