new industry of art had been birthed in response to the Stochastic Archive, and I was no longer the lone technology artist. Everywhere I looked, I was surrounded by works that did what I had hoped to do: works that reflected the human response, questioned technological promises, and broadened perspectives. Somehow I, who had been ahead of everyone in this new medium, was suddenly behind, too late to realize its possibilities.
