“And how do you know this isn’t one of my lectures?” His gaze lowers, and he does nothing to hide his sparkling blue eyes as they sweep me head to toe. He drawls roughly, “Because I would have noticed you the second you walked through those doors.”

As unhealthy as it is, the three girls in this house give me a reason each day to not let the what-ifs get to me. To not allow the hole my sister left in my heart to swallow me whole.

I’m not sure why women love true crime, but I am one of them. Perhaps it’s because we know that our safety is always at risk and by indulging in true crime, we’re able to work through our deepest fears. Or perhaps female rage is present within all of us, and we just want to scream fuck you to the psychopaths.

“I mean it. If I so much as feel your gaze on me again or find you anywhere near me or my room, I will not only tell everyone, but I will castrate you myself.”

Remember… secrets don’t stay buried with the dead.
