“Don’t worry, Theo. The only guy ending up in my bed tonight is you.”
“Play with fire, and you’re gonna get burned, Teddy Bear,” I utter, the warning coming out barely more than a gruff whisper. “Especially if you keep looking at me like that.”
“I don’t need to read your mind, Theo. Not when your body is screaming.”
“What do you—” “You!” I shout instantly. “Jesus fuck. It’s you, okay? I want you.”
“The rest can wait ‘til after I make you come.”
“We’re gonna be okay.” From the conviction and faith laced in his tone, I don’t think he’s just talking about the accident. I nod a couple times, my throat tightening again as I press my lips to his temple. “Yeah, baby. We’re gonna be okay.”
“I know it was just a stupid joke when you and Wyatt suggested I try sleeping with Madden to get intel. And I love this school and the rivalry as much as the rest of the guys, you know that. But I was worried about being put in a position where I’d have to choose between Madden and you guys.” “Because you’d choose him.” It comes out as a statement, not a question. Because he knows the answer. It’s the same one he’d give if it were Holden. I nod, my gaze meeting his. “Every single time. No hesitation.”
“I’ll always turn around for you.”
