Salacious.
Then I peer down at both of us in his hand, moving together between his ringed fingers.
“You forgot me once before, but this time, I’ll sear myself onto your fucking soul. You’ll never be able to fucking forget again.”
“Come for me, Little Star. I’ll follow you over the edge.”
Captain Hook, rogue pirate and villain of Neverland, is baking a cake in my kitchen.
“All that’s missing is the apron that says ‘Got cake? ’Cause I can hook you up.’”
Captain Hook. A cake. A peace offering. Three things that absolutely do not go together.

“You’re going to take what I give you, come when I tell you, scream if you need to.”
If he is the sun, then I think I’m the moon. Used to the darkness, but living for those moments where his light shines on me.
“You need help, old man?”
Leaning over, I place a kiss on Hook’s pale forehead. Against his icy skin, in a raspy whisper meant only for him, I say, “You are my happy thought, James Hook. Now and forever.”
