We pulled up to her building and I double parked, while helping her out. Alaia waddled to the back of the car and tried to grab a laundry bag. “Don’t piss me off, Joy.”

Her conversation was cut short when I snatched the phone and ended the call.

We both were silent as we drove to the city to the hotel. I checked us into a presidential suite at the Willshire hotel. Alaia put her bags down on the couch and looked around the massive suite. The shit was costing me a couple grand a night, but nothing was too much for her.
