“Protein and calcium, my man,” he said, holding up the corn dog like it was some sort of winning lottery ticket. He plopped himself down in a chair, and took a swig straight from the milk jug without missing a beat.
Casey chose that moment to scream. I froze, the meat mallet clenched in my hand.
I really hoped that I wasn’t about to have to use this on my best friend.
Jace was frozen as well, the corn dog halfwa...

“So…QB. You and your lady playing hide and go seek, and Casey just forgot the rules?” Jace asked.
“Is there a reason you have your girlfriend locked in the basement?”
“Her ex decided to give her information about some…of my more questionable activities, and she’s a little bit upset. So I’m giving her some time to get used to that.”
Jace scoffed, taking another huge bite of his corn dog before he responded, his mouth still full. “She tried to leave you.”
“Alright, well I’m going to go check my stocks.” I eyed him. Jace barely passed most of his classes, but for some reason he was literally a genius at stocks. He managed both Matty and my portfolios from the endorsement deals we got, and he’d tripled what we had.
“As a fellow No Drama Llama member, I need to be prepared in the inevitable event that I have to bail you out. Which means my stocks need to be better.”
“I’m going to call some lawyers too…just in case. Can’t let my fellow Pussy Posse member down,
As I walked back up the stairs, I was thinking I was going to have to work really hard to make sure Jace didn’t need to get that lawyer.
Losing Casey’s heart wasn’t an option.
“I can’t believe you did this,” she whispered. I squeezed her closer.
“I can’t believe you didn’t know I would.”
“I told you that we’re endgame, Casey. I’m going to help ...

She’d tried to hit me with one of her textbooks when I’d given it to her, but it was so cute that I’d laughed. Which had then made her refuse to talk to me.
“When you promise not to run, and I believe you.”
“Then I would spend the rest of my life chasing after you. As you know, though, I’m pretty dedicated when I want something. I don’t think you’d be able to run far.”
“You know, I kept telling myself you were too good to be true. And I guess, I was right,”
“Everything I’ve done is for you,” I said. “I love you more than life itself. There’s your truth.”
“Don’t talk,” she whispered when she saw I was awake. “This doesn’t mean I don’t hate you.” “Of course not,”
“We’re never going to talk about this. I should be biting your dick…not riding it,”
“Mmmh,” I answered, pressing down on her lower back so her clit rubbed against me harder.
She bit my fucking finger, hard, before her tongue lapped up my cum.
“You love me too much to stay mad at me forever,”
Her body was already back on my side, and with a little more work…her heart would be too.
It’s just he’d been having some kind of sex dream, moaning my name as he rubbed his hard, perfect length against my ass.
A girl was only so strong.
Parker had made me addicted to him, and he wasn’t giving me a chance to get him out of my system.
my boyfriend’s a psycho.
And yes, I would examine later why I was still calling him my boyfriend in my head.
“I prefer the term ‘basement timeout.’ And yes, I know you won’t run. But I’m still not letting you leave the house until after my game tomorrow.”
“How do you know I won’t run?” I asked, offended that he’d think I’d be won over so easily.
“I don’t know how I’ll ever forgive you for this,” I whispered, a tear sliding down my face. “I thought you were my hero and now…”
“There are villains and there are heroes, and then there are men who are in between,”
“Depends on what your answer is, Casey,”
“Because there’s no world where you’re not mine. Whether you give me you…or I have to take you, it doesn’t change the outcome.”
“That you’re going to be mine until the day we die and for all our lifetimes after that. There’s no me without you.”
“No baby,” he finally murmured. “That’s called true love.”
Maybe Parker Davis was exactly what my broken soul needed, because he’d hold me tight enough that all my broken pieces would come together again.
“Beautiful little liar,” he said.
“Hi,” he murmured, his voice warm and sleepy and delicious. “I miss you.” “I—I miss you, too,” I said after a moment, his absence clearly affecting me.
“Parker Fucking Davis, are you watching me on camera right now?”
“It’s like FaceTime,” he laughed. “What’s the big deal?”
The idea that he was so obsessed with me that he wanted to watch me when he was out of the house was…hot.
Psycho, but hot. Fuck. I needed a therapist.
“I love you. I love you, even though…I shouldn’t,” I admitted.
“There’s no shouldn’t involved. No one gets to say how the greatest love stories are told. We can make our own rules.”
“Because I want us connected all night. Just keep the line open, even while you’re sleeping. That way, if you need anything…I’m here.”
