And how, in the moments after the run ends, this flurry of bodily activity briefly increases. Or it seems to, when contrasted to your static body, when you finally stop to listen. You lie on the couch and feel your pinky talk to your eyeball as your chest flickers with static. And then things settle. Maybe the world just needs to let off some steam.
