Heading toward Cowboy Coffee, I pulled up short as a man exited the shop. His gaze cut to me and then dipped to my neck. Trey’s easygoing expression morphed into a scowl as he stared.
Its not Trey.... is it? I hope not.... but I know Catherine loves a good twist and that sure would be!!!
“Be safe, Chaos. It’s going to piss me the hell off if you end up dead.” She grinned up at me. “You say the sweetest things, Law Man.”
“I’ll help, Chaos. But you are going to stay safe. No more putting your ass on the line.” I opened my mouth to argue, but Colt shut me down with a single look. “We aren’t taking chances. Not with you. Not ever.”
“Hey, now. Don’t you talk about my sister like that. She’s one of the strongest people I know.”
“It’s a bad idea,” I rasped. “We’d be playing with fire.” Those ocean eyes sparked. “Then let’s watch it burn.”
His mouth curved the barest amount. “God, you’re pretty when you beg. Think that deserves a reward.”
Those dark eyes flashed, that hint of gold coming through. “So. Fucking. Gorgeous. Glistening. Just for me.”
“Don’t come, Ridley. You tell me before you’re going to come because the first time I make you shatter, I’m gonna be inside you.”
