It teaches you about other places, careers, people, regions, cultures. Your hobby takes you to the same place every single time. My hobby changes every single night.”

I also have always loved the word “tartle”—it’s esoteric and Scottish and describes when someone hesitates in an introduction because they’ve forgotten the other person’s name.

People say actions speak louder than words, but as a person who finds words often having more impact than actions, I think using the right ones can have a profound impact on someone’s life.
