If you’ve ever been in this situation, you understand how monumental even the simplest tasks seem:
even just being honest about the extent to which you’re struggling. . .
So much time and energy is wasted on forcing other people to match our expectations.
No matter how hard you try, you will never be able to control or change another person. The only person you are in control of is you. Your thoughts, your actions, your feelings.
Because no matter how much we try to control people or situations, the truth is, we can’t. People will do what they want to do. They’ll make their own choices, live their own lives.
Trying to control people and situations doesn’t calm your fears.
True power lies in our response.

Let Me figure out the deeper issue that I need to look at. Let Me be more proactive about reaching out to people.
