I no longer recognized the hopeful girl who once saw the good in everything.
He was always fantastic at giving affirmations, so it’s not surprising to hear them. The guy could hardly go through his normal everyday life without praising me for something. But it’s been so long since I’ve heard it, I almost forgot what it felt like to glow under his encouragement.
